Founder of MakiMaki Sushi

Kevin Takarada founded MakiMaki Sushi after seeing a clear gap in the market for sushi that felt both high quality and easy to enjoy. Drawing from his background in engineering, finance, and hospitality, he built a brand focused on fresh, made-to-order sushi with a more modern approach to speed, consistency, and convenience.

Raised in a restaurateur family and deeply connected to Japanese culinary traditions, Kevin brings both personal history and practical vision to the brand. His goal with MakiMaki Sushi has always been to make quality sushi more accessible while creating a model designed for today’s customers and tomorrow’s growth.
